Staveley Stampede 10 Miles (2009)
Debbie and myself ran Staveley stampede 10 mile race.
The first 3 miles was uphill on rural roads then what a delight, we then ran around 5 miles through fields full of poppies and a nature reserve, cross country then came back out onto rural roads and paths for the final few miles.
The marshalls along the way were excellent and local people cheering us on.
The music was playing at the end and there was tea, coffee cakes and stalls were you could buy local produce. Even the mile markers had faces on of people running in different ways. From getting your race number with your name on and newletter which was funny and interesting, to the end it was a race i would do again.
A great big pat on the back for Debbie who is on top form running.
WELL DONE DEB we will be there again next year.
