1.My nomination for runner of the month is Jon Turner for smashing a sub 40 10k in Lancaster earlier in the month. As always with Jon, he sets his sights on a target and a date at which he is going to achieve. There was no doubt he was going to get this. He has a brilliant level of determination to reach his aims. My nomination for member of the month is John Clucas for his dedication to and organisation of such a fantastic Winter Warmer in extremely difficult conditions.

Regards,
Adam Booth.

2.ROM – Sinead Whittaker for finding her mojo and working hard on the buggy runs to better herself and get faster when running without Arthur – that’s some impressive speed she’s got going now!

MOM – Rowena for pacing me through the Stanley Park 10k and not moaning about the slow pace – also for her selfless attitude to helping out at charidee events (such as Joanne C’s Gin&Fizz night)

Nickie O’Hara

3.I vote for John Clucas. At Stanley park 10k he volunteered to run with Kath Brayshaw in her attempt to run 60 minutes (she ran 60.28). This is after he had already run 4 miles on his own.
He also was involved in the previous days couch to five runs. Well done.
Peter Costello

4.I vote for John Clucas as member of the month for his support and encouragement at the Stanley Park 10k. Also for his leadership of the Couch to 5 at Witton.
Kathleen Brayshaw

Also was pushing a brush round the track to get it ready for WW! Newer member who gets stuck in both running and supporting
Member : Dave Short – he missed time out if work to pick up tables, put up signs, fetch n carry and do a lot of hands on work for the Winter Warmer, RD John did a magnificent job and deserves a mention.
Susan Wolstenholme

Linzi Birch-Dearden

11.Rotm – I.m gonna go for Rick Slater…. All that Rick has put into running in the past fills me with such admiration for him. To see now that he is running but not as he used to, shows me that we all lose our mojo at times. Life takes over….. I wanted to vote for Rick to reinforce the fact that he is such an awesome runner. I don’t think he realises just how much of an inspirational guy he is. Keep going Rick.

Motm – Rowena for her amazing contribution to radio and dj at Joanne Croasdale’ charity event. Amazing music and fab host. Back in the running too which is fab to see.

16.Runner of the month has to be Adam Booth. Every time I look he’s got another PB. Amazing.

Just quietly getting on with her training. Running big mileage alone is hard both physically and mentally.

MOM
Don’t often vote in house but I feel I have to this month – the last week of January and the first few days of February saw me home alone for a lot of the time – john was out clearing snow liaising with others to ensure paths were cleared for the club race to go ahead- it’s for that reason I have to vote for the hubby John Clucas
Deborah Clucas

21.Runner of the month for me this month is Christine Warrington, she gave it her all at the winter warmer and smashed it out of the park (despite telling me she’d be happy just to get round!) She was absolutely amazing,

Member for me this month is Tracy Slater, she worked extra hard this year baking and rallying the troops for the cake stall making a fantastic amount for a very worth while cause.

Also extra special mentions to John Clucas for his truly epic organisation (definitely above and beyond this year) Sinéad for organising the marshals, Sally for the superb marketing, John Hannan and Kathryn Gardner for sorting the pace team and their brilliant advice and guidance to us newbies to pacing, Aadila who always does a lot behind the scenes but did so so much for the winter warmer and Jane Matthewman for all her hard work with entries abs registration
Thanks
Annika Halsall

22.Runner,
Kathleen Brayshaw, turning 70 and hitting almost mid 70s percent in races, awesome.

Member,
John Clucas,
The guy is a lynch pin of the club and as well as his hard work organising the WW, he organises couch and helps so many runners achieve their goals. I’m privileged to have him as a friend.

Special praise to Dave Short too, another guy who goes so far out of his way to help people, he’s brilliant.
